In some of my posts, I have been writing about Well-Being at Work.
As an Executive Coach, I would love to share how we can make the Five Ways to Well-Being part of your daily routine to find more balance and feel better. Finding this critical balance empowers you to achieve any goal you have, whether at work or in life.
We will need open conversations, the right tools, and a genuine commitment from both sides along these steps:
1️. Assess
We'll kick it off with a commitment to strict confidentiality to understand more about your well-being through safe, simple and validated tools, like the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS), the PERMA Model, among others. This work will help us gain awareness of what truly matters to you, draft what you really want to achieve.
2. Plan
We then look at your goals with a future-back vision, identifying key obstacles but also powerful resources to create and execute your plan. We will use smart goals to set clear and achievable steps and objectives, making the journey practical and aligned with what you truly want.
3. Encourage
Change can be tough, but I am there to encourage you. We'll kick off with small, manageable, but meaningful steps you will define and commit to. Together, we will celebrate your progress to keep motivation and positive reinforcement high.
4. Support
Ongoing support is key to lasting change. We'll check-in regularly to support both yourself and your plan whenever needed. together, we'll review your progress, exchange feedback and adjust your plan to keep you confident and ensure it works for you.
5. Reflect
Reflecting on your progress through journaling or discussions will help identify what is working or could be done better. This is an important step that helps you understand your journey, stay motivated, recognize your achievements, and, more importantly, learn about your own power to face these current or future challenges independently.
And…What Do I Need from You?
1.Commitment and Openness
Stay engaged in the process and open to exploring new perspectives and approaches. This includes being willing to honestly reflect on your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in the work environment.
2. Active Participation
Actively participate in the sessions by sharing your experiences, challenges, and accomplishments. The more involved you are, the more valuable the sessions will be for your development.
3. Apply What You Have Learned
It is crucial that you put into practice the strategies and tools discussed during the sessions. Real change happens when you apply the knowledge you’ve gained to your day-to-day life.
4. Constant Feedback
Provide feedback to your coach on what is working well and what could be adjusted. This will help tailor the sessions to better fit your needs.
5. Patience and Perseverance
Improving your well-being at work is a process that takes time. Be patient with yourself and remain persistent, even when results are not immediate.
To wrap up
Your active involvement in the coaching process is essential for maximizing its impact on your well-being at work. By committing to the process, participating fully, applying what you learn, providing ongoing feedback, and exercising patience and perseverance, you will set the foundation for meaningful growth and lasting positive change. Remember, the journey to enhancing your well-being is a collaborative effort that requires your dedication and openness to new approaches.
